Emma Lewis was a daughter of noted potter Lucy M. Lewis.  This small bowl is painted with bee-weed (black),  This piece has a larger Mimbres ram with a baby ram on its head!  It is actually a famous Mimbres bowl design that it was taken from.  Separating them are lighting designs.  Note the tightly painted designs on the feet and faces! The bowl is signed on bottom, “Emma Lewis”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
