This is a classic style water jar by Eric Lewis.  It has a high, round shoulder and a short neck.  The jar is fully painted.  On one side is a stylized deer with its head turned.  The remainder of the jar has graphic designs with a stylized linear running deer in the center and additional antlers. The shape of the jar and the flow of the designs are an elegant combination and emphasize the form. The jar is signed on the bottom, “Eric Lewis”.
