Diane Lewis-Garcia is known for her tightly painted miniature pottery.  This is one of her very intricately painted seedpots.  The top is painted with a very detailed Acoma bird in the center.  It has flower plants surrounding the bird.  The use of the white space on this piece certainly has the feel of classic Acoma pottery!  The seedpot has a variety of colors, each from natural clay slips.  It is signed on the bottom, “D. Lewis-Garcia”.
