Diane Lewis-Garcia is known for her tightly painted miniature pottery. This is one of her smaller water jars. The jar is painted with bee-weed (black) and clay slips. There are eight women holding corn plants around the center. The neck has flower and rain designs, that are then repeated at the base. Connecting them is a colorful rainbow. It is a complex and visually striking use of form, color, and design. It is signed on the bottom, “D. Lewis-Garcia”.
