Diane Lewis is known for her tightly painted miniature pottery.  This is one of her very intricately painted seedpots.  The top is painted with intricate plant design.  At the base of the plant is a section carved through the seedpot.  Surrounding the rim is a Yei style figure.  Note the intricate painting on the surface of the piece!  All the colors are from natural clay slips.  It is an exciting modern interpretation of classic Acoma imagery.  It is signed on the bottom, “D. Lewis”.
