12.75"w x 6.5"h

$ 1,050.00

Lucy Lewis is one of the great Matriarch potters of the past century. This large bowl is one in a series she made in the 1960’s which were undecorated and inspired by traditional utilitarian forms. The bowl is round and has two handles.  It has no painted designs.  The piece is signed on the inside, “Lucy M. Lewis, 1968”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It received a First Place ribbon at the 1968 Sant Fe Indian Market.  While not your “typical” piece by Lucy Lewis, it is an important part of her historic legacy and keeping alive traditional utilitarian shapes.
