Diane Lewis is known for her tightly painted miniature pottery.  This is one of her distinctive seedpots.  The piece is painted on the top with an Acoma style dragonfly which is raised in relief.  The area around the dragonfly is painted with a star pattern with intricate fineline designs.  The various colors add to the visual striking nature of this piece.  All the various colors are natural clay slips.  It is an exciting modern interpretation of classic Acoma imagery.
