Lonewolf, Rosemary “Apple Blossom” – Seedpot with Five Birds (1980s)
This is a detailed miniature seedpot by Rosemary Lonewolf. It has a round shape and it is fully designed. There is a bird etched onto the top of the piece. Around the sides, there are four more birds etched into the clay. The birds are inspired by the Mimbres pottery of the 1100s. On the sides, she has etched small round circles surrounding the birds and highlighted them with blue clay slip. There is white on the bird on the top. The various colors are all derived from natural clay slips. The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom, “Apple Blossom”.
