Elizabeth Lovato is a daughter of Donicia Tafoya and a sister of Juan Tafoya.  This seedpot is coil-built, stone polished, etched, and fired black.  The design is an avanyu on one side of the piece.  It has a turquoise inset for the eye and a turquoise inset in the central medallion. The background is slipped with mica.  Surrounding the medallion are clouds on one side and lightning on the other.  The piece is signed, “Elizabeth Lovato” on the bottom.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
