Rebecca Lucario is known for her delicate and intricately painted pottery.  This jar is a perfect shape to reveal her skill as a painter and potter. The high shoulder and long neck allow for the yucca leaf design to be painted in an “op-art” style.  The designs go from small at the neck to larger in the center and then smaller again.  Note how the designs and form are in perfect symmetry!  The yucca leaf design denotes the yucca leaf which is used to paint the design on Acoma pottery.  The last photo are actual yucca leaves that are used by the potters for painting.  The jar is signed on the bottom.
