This small plate by Maria Martinez is an unusual design.  It was made and polished by Maria Martinez and painted by her daughter-in-law Santana.  The plate is painted with alternating feather and plant designs.  The surface is highly polished and fired to a near-gunmetal appearance.  The plate is signed on the back, “Marie + Santana”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
