This is a large seedpot by Grace Medicine Flower is from 1976.  It is fully polished and etched on the top and sides.  There are seven large butterflies etched into the clay.  Note how the wings of each butterfly has a different pattern.  They are surrounded by various flowers and plants.  There are additional lightning designs.  The background matte area there with the small circles, which Grace only did for a brief period as it was so time-consuming.  It is a wonderfully complex seedpot!  The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Grace Medicine Flower”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks restoration or repair.
