This is a small water jar by Grace Medicine Flower.  It was made in 1974.  The piece has a sharp shoulder and long neck.  The area between the shoulder and rim are etched with an avanyu encircling the jar.  Note as the piece is turned that there are cloud and lightning designs.  There is a small medicine flower etched into the clay near the base.  All of Grace’s design work was etched into the clay before it was fired.  The piece was fired red.  It is signed on the bottom, “Grace Medicine Flower”.   It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
