This is a striking long neck jar by Elizabeth Medina.  She is known for her traditional style of Zia pottery.  Each piece is coil built, painted with native clays, and native fired.  This jar has a long neck and a high shoulder.  There are three sections, each with a Zia bird.  Each bird is different and polished either tan or red.  Next to the birds are rectangular clouds and over each of them is a rainbow.  Around the neck are three hummingbirds.  Again, each hummingbird is different in style.  The jar has a lid and the base of the lid is polished tan.  There is a small clay bear on top and a painted bird on the back of the bear.  The jar signed on the side “Elizabeth Medina, Zia”.
