6.5"w x 9"h (w/ lid)

$ 375.00

Elizabeth Medina is known for her traditional style of Zia pottery.  Each piece is coil built, painted with native clays and native fired.  This jar is intricately painted by her husband, Marcellus Medina.  The jar has very classic Zia designs.  One is a large parrot while the other birds are in flight.  In front of the parrot is a classic Zia medallion with a feather design.  There are intricate hatchwork and cloud patterns surrounding the feather.  There is another similar feather medallion on the opposite side.  The jar has a lid that is polished red and there is a bear on top with a Zia bird on the back. The jar is signed on the side “Elizabeth + Marcellus Medina, Zia”.
