Marcellus Medina is known for his contemporary painted pottery.  The jar is made by his wife, Elizabeth Medina.  Marcellus has painted on the surface with acrylic. The jar has two realistic Corn Maidens.  They are separated by larger sections with Zia birds, feather and cloud deisgns.  It is nice to see his traditional designs along with the realistic dancers.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “Medina”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
