Elton Tewaguna Nampeyo is a great-grandson of Nampeyo, grandson of Fannie Polacca Nampeyo, and a son of Richard and Elva Tewaguna Nampeyo.  His sisters Adelle Lalo Nampeyo, Miriam Tewaguna Nampeyo, and Neva Polacca Choyou Nampeyo are also potters.  This bowl has a narrow base and a flat top.  The bowl has large eagle tail designs extending from the shoulder to the base.  They are painted with bee-weed (black) and highlighted with polished red areas. The bowl was traditionally fired creating strong blushes on the surface.  It is signed on the bottom, “Elton Nampeyo”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
