Priscilla Nampeyo was a sister of Dextra Quotskuyva and a descendant of Nampeyo of Hano.  She was known for her traditional style of Hopi-Tewa pottery. This miniature is a jar shape with a turned-out rim. It is painted with bee-weed (black) and a red clay. The design is an eagle tail pattern that extends down the sides.  It is a classic of her style.  The jar was traditionally fired.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “Priscilla Namingha Nampeyo”.
