Dominguita Sisneros Naranjo is a daughter of noted Ohkay Owingeh potter Tomasita Montoya and a sister of Rosita de Herrera. This bowl is coil-built and polished a deep red on the neck and the base. The central band is deeply carved with clouds and rain designs. The designs are higlighted with red and white clay slips. This color combination is visually striking and enhances the design. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dominguita Sisneros”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
