Naranjo, Forrest – Jar with Horses and Bear Lid

5.5"w x 6.5"h (w/ lid)

$ 500.00

Forrest Naranjo is a son of Bernie Naranjo, the brother of Dusty Naranjo, and the father of Johnathan Naranjo.  This jar is coil-built and stone polished.  The piece was fired a glassy brown coloration.  Around the top of the shoulder are etched horses.  They encircle the piece.  There are two horses that extend up onto the lid, indicating the correct position for it to be placed. The lid is fully polished and in the shape of a bear.  The coloration from the firing and the creative designs of the horse are visually striking on this piece!  The jar is signed on the bottom, “Forrest Naranjo”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
