This is an early mini jar by Jody Naranjo is from 1998.  It is highly polished for most of the jar with a matte area near the base.  The central band has turtles as the design and their back are a checkerboard pattern.  The neck and base are etched with a water design.  The jar is outdoor fired to create the brown coloration in the clay.   The jar is signed, “Jody Naranjo” and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
