Naranjo, Kevin – “Buffalo” Black and Sienna Jar

Kevin Naranjo is known for his realistic etched pottery.  This jar has a high shoulder and short neck.  It is entitled “Buffalo”.  There is a realistic buffalo on one side and a buffalo dancer on the opposite side.  At the rim is a geometric pattern. Below in an avanyu and then a feather pattern.  Behind the Buffalo Dancer is a Pueblo scene.  There are buffalo tracks connecting the two images.  The jar was fired black and then the rim was two-toned sienna.  It is signed, “Kevin Naranjo”.
