Luciano Naranjo is known for his contemporary style incised pottery using animals and nature as his themes.  This striking seedpot is highly polished and fired brown.  The design is a male and female deer facing in opposite directions.  Between them is a flower medallion.  Note the cloud step patterns in the ear.  This design is one of many that Luciano uses to distinguish his work from that of his father, Paul Naranjo.  Luciano is definitely one of those younger potters to watch!
