Margie Naranjo is a daughter of potters Joe and Santanita Suazo.  Her sisters include Martha Suazo (the wife of Art Cody Haungooah), Candelaria Suzao, Mae Tapia, and Shirley Duran.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  This small jar is coil-built and fully polished.  It is painted black-on-black with a cloud design around the neck.  Around the body of the jar are rain and lighting designs.  It is tightly painted for the size. The jar was fired a dark black.  It is signed on the bottom, “Margie Naranjo”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
