Reycita Naranjo was a daughter of noted potter Pablita Chavarria.  This is one of her candlestick holders.  It is clay and in the shape of a mocassin and it is fully polished.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed, “Reycita” on the bottom in the clay.

Reycita Naranjo (1926-2003) was a daughter of noted potter Pablita Chavarria and a sister of Mary Singer, Clara Shije, Florence Browning and Elizabeth Naranjo. She was known for her carved and highly polished pottery. Over the years she won numerous awards at Santa Fe Indian Market and other events.
