Charmae Natseway is known for her exceptional painted pottery and use of distinctive forms. This wonderful seedpot is a cylinder form with perfectly formed sides!  The design is a bird and two lizards. The piece is very intricately painted. All the colors are from natural clay slips.  On the top of the piece there is a carved stopper along with painted designs.  The designs are painted with the four different colors she uses on her pottery.  It is a striking balance of traditional and historic imagery on a very modern form.
