Thomas Natseway is one of the most renowned miniaturists in Pueblo pottery.  Rarely does he make a piece that is over 1″ tall or wide!  This miniature has a sculpted Hopi maiden.  Her arms are outstretched and they are holding a bowl in front of her. The edges of the bowl are painted with traditional Hopi-Tewa designs.  The clay color is that of Hopi pottery.  Definitely a charming piece!  It is signed on the bottom, “Thomas Nasteway”.
