7.5"w x 4.5"h

$ 650.00

Charles Navasie is a grandson of noted potter Joy “Frogwoman” Navasie and the son of Loretta Navasie. This jar is thin-walled and has a round shoulder and a sloping neck. It is painted with bee-weed and a deep red clay slip.  The top of the jar has a star pattern in red.  In four sections there are swirling eagles.  They are tightly painted and perfectly match the shape of the jar.  It was traditionally fired.  It is signed on the bottom with his stylized frog hallmark.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
