Dolly Joe Navasie is best known by her name White Swann.  She is the daughter of Eunice “Fawn” Navasie and a sister of Dawn and Fawn Navasie.  This jar is coil-built and painted with bee-weed (black) and a red clay slip. The piece has four eagle tails extending down the sides.  Around the top of the shoulder is a mountain design.  The jar was traditionally fired to create the blushes.  It is signed on the bottom, “White Swann”.   It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
