Loretta Navasie is a daughter of Joy “Frog Woman” Navasie and a granddaughter of Paqua Naha.  This is coil built and stone polished with white kaolin clay.  It is painted with bee-weed and red clay slip.  The design is a series of panels with alternating bird wing and rain patterns.  The piece was traditionally fired.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom with a frog hallmark and the letter, “L”.
