Pajarito, Florence – Bowl with Flowers and Pueblo Birds

Florence Pajarito (b. 1957) is a daughter of Mary and Joe Pajarito.  She began making pottery around 1996 and is known for her traditional style Santo Domingo pottery.  This bowl is coil built, and painted with bee-weed (black) and clay slips. The bowl has tightly painted with three Pueblo-style birds.  They are each separated by large flowers.  The rim of the bowl has a cloud design. The interior is painted with a single Pueblo bird and plants. The bowl is signed, “Florence Pajarito”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
