Ruby Panana began making pottery in 1983.  She is a granddaughter of Joe and Ascenicona Galvan Pino and a daughter of Seferina Bell.  Her sisters Eleanor Griego and Reyes Pino are also potters.  This large bowl has classic Zia imagery.  On each side there is a bird, over which there is a red polished rainbow.  Separating the birds are large butterfly designs.  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Ruby Panana”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
