Patricio, Georgia – Jar with Bird Feather Designs
Georgia Patricio is a daughter of Lucy Juanico and a granddaughter of Joselita Ray and learned to make pottery from her mother. Each piece is coil built and patined with wild spinach and clay slips. This jar has a round shape and a short neck. There are bands of interlocking feathers extending from the rim to near the base of the jar. They seem to spiral and overlap, like feathers! It is signed on the bottom, “G. Patricio”.
