This is a stunning larger jar by Franklin Peters.  He is known for his thin walled pottery and use of traditional Acoma imagery on his pottery. The jar has a high shoulder and an elongated neck.  The designs are all painted with a yucca brush to create the very thin lines.  Franklin creates dynamic painted designs on his thin walled vessels. This jar has a series of star burst pattern which are between the interconnected star designs.  The closer you look, the more it is possible to see how it is a very intricate pattern on he has created on this jar!  The rim of the jar is painted black and has the traditional painted spirit line.  There is also an indented base which is reminiscent of historic Acoma pottery.  It is signed on the bottom.
