Agnes Peynetsa (b. 1962) began making pottery in 1984.  She is the daughter of Charles and Wilma Peynetsa, wife of Berdel Soseech.  She is the sister of Priscilla Peynetsa and Anderson Peynetsa.  Agnes learned pottery making from Jennie Laate and her brother and sister. This is one of her larger pieces. It is a jar with a sharp shoulder and an elongated neck. The jar is polished an orange-red coloration.  There are six lizards in relief on the surface of the jar.  There are two on the neck and four on the shoulder.  They are rounded out and painted black-and-white.  The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Agnes Peynetsa ’21”.
