$ 200.00

June Pino Cheromiah is a granddaughter of Mary Antonio and a daughter of James Pino and Zelda Chaplin Pino.  She learned to make pottery from Rachel Concho, Paul Lucario, Mildred Antonio, and Barbara & Joseph Cerno. Each piece is coil-built from native clay and painted with bee-weed and clay slips.  This bowl has a sharp shoulder and sloping rim.  Above the shoulder are fineline sunset star patterns. The body of the bowl has additional star and fine-line designs.  It is a complex and fluid design that extends across the entire surface of the piece.  It is signed on the bottom, “June Pino”.
