June Pino Cheromiah is a granddaughter of Mary Antonio and a daughter of James Pino and Zelda Chaplin Pino.  She learned to make pottery from Rachel Concho, Paul Lucario, Mildred Antonio, and Barbara & Joseph Cerno. Each piece is coil-built from native clay and painted with bee-weed and clay slips.  This clay bird effigy is coil built. The back has a fineline flower design. There are rainclouds painted on the wings and along the body of the piece. It is signed on the bottom, “June Pino”.
