Pino, Lorencita – Bird with Feather Designs (1960s) – Tesuque Pueblo

5.25" long x 2"h

$ 100.00

Lorencita Pino is one of the few potters from Tesuque Pueblo.  She was known for her Rain Gods in the 1930s and her jars with faces on them in the 1960s. This is one of the few pieces her pottery we have had.  It is a bird figure that has a feather and a cloud pattern painted with feather designs. on the back.  It was fired black-on-black, which is a bit unusual fo her work, but not unexpected.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Lorencita Pino”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
