Red Starr (Sioux) was married to Santa Clara potter Harriet Tafoya and learned to make Santa Clara pottery.  This small red jar is fully polished.  There are two medallions, one on each side.  One has a squirrel with an acorn. The opposite side has a sun face with feathers.  The jar was fired to a red coloration.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Red Starr”.
