This is charming carved turtle figure by Ryan Roller. The back of the turtle is carved and polished. The head, tail and feet are also incised with design.  He also stone polished the eyes and mouth of the turtle.  When turned upside down, there is a heartline carved into the clay on the underside.  The piece has been fired brow, which creates a very distinctive coloration.  Ryan continues in the tradition of his grandmother Toni Roller and his great-grandmother Margaret Tafoya.
