Romero, Pauline – Squash Blossom Jar with 24 Ribs

Pauline Romero is a daughter of Persingula Tosa, who taught her to make pottery.  She is a cousin to Maxine Toya and Laura Gachupin. This long neck jar has 24 carved ribs.  The jar is in the shape of a squash blossom, with the rim being the blossom. The ribs are polished tan while the rim is polished red.  The entire piece is fully polished.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, ‘Pauline Romero”.
