5.5"w x 6.5"h

$ 1,400.00

Tonita Roybal is one of the great innovative names in San Ildefonso pottery.  This is a classic jar by Tonita.  The shape is one that is easily identifiable for her work.  It has a low, round shoulder with an elongated neck.  The jar is painted around the shoulder with a very modernist cloud and rain pattern.  The jar is fired a deep black in coloration.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Tonita”.  The signature with the “cursive T” is one of her earliest signatures.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
