This jar by Russell Sanchez is an unusual shape.  It has the form of a water jar but with indented sides.  In the indented areas, there are circular medallions, each with an incised bear.  The bears have a single inset piece of turquoise and they are surrounded by hematite hei-shi beads.  The lid on the jar is also a bear.  The piece is fired to a silvery, gunmetal coloration.  It is signed on the bottom, “Russell”.
