Stetson Setalla is a grandson of Paqua Naha (Frogwoman) and the son of Pauline Setalla. His brother Dee and sisters Gwen Setalla and Agnes Nahsonhoya also make pottery. Stetson began making pottery at the age of 19.  This large jar has a fluted rim that rises up in four sections.  The shoulder of the jar is painted with alternating bird wing and cloud designs.  The interior of the jar is slipped with red clay.  Below the shoulder, the jar is painted with cloud and rain designs.  The jar is painted with bee-weed (black) and red and brown clay slips.  There are slight blushes from the firing. It is signed on the bottom with his name “S. Setalla”.
