Stetson Setalla is a son of noted potter Pauline Setalla and the brother of Dee Setalla and Gwen Setalla.  This open bowl is painted with a flower design.  He has used two different designs to create the petals of the flower.  It is a design that is more complex than it looks!  The center is painted with bee-weed (a plant) and the rim is a brown clay slip. The bowl is traditionally fired to create the blushes on the surface. It is signed on the back “S. Setalla” and rain cloud.
