Mary Singer was known for her intricately carved pottery and figurative work. While she was known for her turtle figures, this is one of the few bears we have seen.  It is made from clay and the back is carved with a sun, feather and cloud design. The entire piece is fully polished.  Check out the face and even the carved pads on the feet!  It is signed on the foot, “Mary Singer”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  While she no longer makes pottery, her work can be found in museums nationwide.
