Jerry Sisneros learned to make pottery from his mother, Olaria Sisneros.  He was never prolific but created well polished and intricately painted pieces.  This bowl is a round shape and painted with an avanyu as the design.  It is a very intricately painted water serpent and the bowl is highly polished.  The painting leaves enough open polished space to reveal the highly polished surface.  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Jerry Sisneros”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
