Sisneros, Jerry – Black Bowl with Avanyu

2.5"w x 3"h

$ 150.00

Jerry Sisneros learned to make pottery from his mother, Olaria Sisneros.  He was never prolific but created well polished and intricately painted pieces.  This is a very creative piece.  It has a water serpent encircling the bowl with the tongue near the rim and the tail around the center.  The open style of design is creative and works well because the bowl is very highly fired so that it has a silvery appearance.  It is signed on the bottom, “Jerry Sisneros”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
