Sisneros, Jerry – Wide Red Bowl with Avanyu and Feathers

6"w x 2"h

$ 250.00

Jerry Sisneros learned to make pottery from his mother, Olaria Sisneros.  He was never prolific but created well polished and intricately painted pieces.  This jar has a wide, sharp shoulder and a flat top. It is fully polished to a high shine. The design is a very intricately painted water serpent on one side and the other side has 16 feathers.  They are very tightly painted.  The painting leaves enough open polished space to reveal the highly polished surface.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “Jerry Sisneros”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
