Mary Small (b. 1940) is known for her traditional Jemez pottery.  It is not just her painting, which is distinctive, but the gray-colored clay that she uses is distinctive to her pottery.  This jar has a round shoulder and a sloping. There are rain clouds and mesa designs painted on the jar.  The designs spiral around the piece.  It is signed on the bottom, “Mary Small”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
